Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 01.09.2025. Category-wise relaxations apply (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD, widows, etc.).
- Educational Qualification: A degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India. Graduation must be between 01.01.2022 and 01.09.2025 (both days inclusive).

- Prior Apprenticeship/Experience: Candidates who have earlier undergone apprenticeship with Canara Bank or any other organization, or have 1+ years of job experience after graduation, are not eligible.
Reservation & PwBD
Reservation is applicable as per the Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories at the state level. Horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) is also applicable — with categories such as Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, Orthopaedic, Intellectual Disability, etc. Please check the official notification for the full list of eligible disability categories and conditions.
Selection Process & Stipend
Selection will be based on the eligibility parameters, verification of documents, local language test (where applicable) and administrative allotment by the Bank. Shortlisting and final engagement are at the discretion of Canara Bank as per the official notification.
- Stipend: Apprentices engaged under the Apprentices Act are eligible for a stipend as per the Apprenticeship norms — consult the notification for the exact stipend structure and duration.
- Medical Fitness: Engagement is subject to being declared medically fit as per Bank requirements.

Career Context & Related Opportunities
While this notification pertains to banking apprenticeships, many freshers are also exploring remote opportunities such as Amazon jobs work from home for freshers in 2025. If your primary interest is work-from-home roles, be sure to research the required skill sets (customer service, basic IT, logistics coordination) and compare them against structured apprenticeships that offer formal training and a certificate. Apprenticeship programs like Canara Bank’s provide sector-specific exposure; remote roles at large private companies may offer immediate flexibility but different career trajectories.
